Arsenal fans will be feeling a lot better about life after a much-improved couple of weeks, but a tough clash against an in-form Manchester United awaits this Saturday at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have won their last three Premier League games, including an excellent 2-0 victory over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, and as such should go into the clash with the Red Devils full of confidence.

This run has moved Arsenal back into the top four and another win this weekend would be a big statement to say that Arsene Wenger’s men mean business and can challenge for honours this season.

The London side go into the game as favourites in the online betting 2018 odds, with the hosts 6/4 to stretch their winning streak to four games.

However, United have looked a much-more composed outfit this season under Jose Mourinho and as such Arsenal will need to be at their best to pick up three points at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners’ mini-revival has coincided with an upturn in performances from Mesut Ozil, who has been in excellent form over the last month.

While the Germany international’s contract is an ongoing topic of debate in the press, on the pitch the mercurial playmaker has been pulling the strings for Wenger’s men alongside Alexis Sanchez and Alexandre Lacazette.

Ozil has been accused in the past of going missing in big games and an influential performance from the former Real Madrid man is needed once more for Arsenal to get a win.

While creating goals is the 28-year-old’s primary asset, he got on the scoresheet in the 5-0 victory over Huddersfield on Wednesday – odds of 23/5 for him to score at anytime on Saturday look appealing.

It may well be at the other end of the pitch that the game is won and lost however, with Arsenal’s defence needing to stand up to the United attack.

The recent return of Shkodran Mustafi has been a key reason for three consecutive clean sheets and another against the Red Devils would be much welcomed.

While Romelu Lukaku is off form and struggling for a goal at the minute, United have plenty of offensive weaponry to hurt Arsenal.

That said, the bookmakers offer reasonable odds of 9/4 for Petr Cech to keep another clean sheet this weekend.

In what should be a passionate and exhilarating affair, Arsenal need to prove they can mix it with the division’s best teams – a victory would be just what the doctor ordered.
