Arsenal legend Anders Limpar is currently taking the Scandinavian betting market by storm, having recently just agreed a new deal with one of Scandinavia’s biggest betting tips sites, Bettingstugan (The Betting Cottage). This follows on from an impressive World Cup campaign during the summer that saw Limpar pit his footballing expertise against their very own betting expert “Viking”, and a plucky tortoise named “Nils”.

Limpar had a colourful career spanning over 20 years that took him from his native Sweden to Switzerland, Italy, England, and eventually across the pond to the US before returning to Sweden to finish his career.

Of course Anders Limpar will be more famous to Gunners fans for the four year stint he had at Highbury from 1990-1994. Limpar’s marauding play down the wings helped Arsenal seal the 1991 First Division Championship under the tutelage of George Graham. That famous Arsenal team had amongst their ranks past greats such as Tony Adams, David Seaman, David O’Leary, Paul Merson and Alan Smith, where Limpar was a key figure making 39 appearances across the season in total.

The Swede then left North London for more northern climbs where he continued to win silverware, guiding Everton to a landmark 1995 FA Cup win at Wembley beating Man United 1-0. Limpar then went on to have brief stints for Birmingham City, Colorado Rapids and AIK in his native Sweden, where he won the title before calling time on a successful career.

Despite turning out for other outfits later on in his career, Limpar still very much considers himself a Gunner with Arsenal close to his heart, and he regularly dons the red and white shirt for the Arsenal Legends. Most recently Anders featured in a double header against Real Madrid Legends in June at the Bernabeu, and more recently gracing the hallowed turf of the Emirates on 8 September.

Limpar featured amongst an impressive line-up of Arsenal greats with a worthy haul of silverware between them, playing alongside the likes of Jens Lehmann, Robert Pires, Gilberto Silva, Ray Parlour, Nicolas Anelka and Sol Campbell.

But Limpar’s most recent pairing will now see him turn out for “Sweden’s Home of Betting”. Anders will be playing Stryktipset at Bettingstugan, Sweden’s equivalent of the pools, where he’ll be appearing live on social media to discuss all things football and where Swedish fans can even have the opportunity to play against him.

More great news for UK fans is that after conquering Scandinavia, Limpar’s latest partners are moving into the UK, most notably with a comparison site for UK betting sites that helps punters track down the best betting bonuses on the market.
